The Four A’s

November 24, 2010 by Wendy Bryan 3 Comments

To be successful, happy and have more of what you want in your life, following the Four “A”‘s will go a long way in assisting you to turn your dreams to goals and then to achieve those goals, one step at a time.

The First A.  AWARENESS:

Having awareness means, simply put, paying attention to those little voices within telling you to take specific actions on things. These things can be anything from making an appointment with your Dentist to a job or career not working as well as it used to or a relationship that needs some focused attention and changes.

Awareness is that wonderful human ability to, in many cases,  save ourselves from bother. A good example is putting off a Dentist appt. Obviously, if you leave it too long without effective attention, your teeth will deteriorate, possibly cause you pain and probably cost you much more money than if you had attended regular check ups.

Another great example is when a relationship is in trouble.  Ignore the problems and what usually happens? Things go from disharmony and recurring arguments to full blown angry fighting, inability to discuss anything calmly and at this point, resentment and blame usually sets in from one or both parties. Deal with the problems when they arise and your relationships will be filled with potential, ongoing fulfillment and a deep seated quiet  joy at sharing life together.

There are many more examples of how Awareness can bring about positive change and potentially help you avoid many unpleasant, stressful and often overwhelming situations. Perhaps a good exercise would be to make some quiet time for yourself to think about and write down some of those little (or big) niggles that are in the back of your mind and make a list of how and when you will deal with them. You can continue to return and cross off what you have done and make a specific plan to do those things that are troubling you most. If you haven’t been too successful with sticking to your plans in the past, keep your list small and build up.

Practising this exercise regularly will bring you a wonderful sense of achievement and often great peace of mind.

Something great I read recently:

Action leads to results.

Results can be measured and improved.

Imperfect action beats perfect inaction everytime!

So, use that wonderful gift of insight and awareness and begin to take action TODAY as

EVERY DAY GETS BETTER.

Wendy 🙂

      Hi Gordon,

Thanks so much for joining my little blog and for your encouragement! This blog is in it’s infancy and still very much a work in progress. I’ve been studying Internet Marketing and I built all these pages myself (bit proud of that – especially not having a leaning towards tech stuff!) because I wanted to learn the process and challenge myself at something I find dreadfully difficult.

Now I’ve done this, I find all manner of options are open to me and I’m in the process of deciding exactly what to focus on of my three primary passions, Personal Development and Wealth Creation, Animals/Veganism etc and Environment and Organics.

I would love to share more often on Happiness Inside and will set some goals to do just that when I’ve improved my blog and have chosen my direction.

Meanwhile, thanks for the wonderful posts and broadcasts I receive and it’s lovely being a part of it all!

      Wendy 🙂
